Akai S-612 in action. This machine is 12-bit variable sample rate. It has an analog filter and a pitch LFO. It is a neat little primitive machine that can be useful If you want a sampler that is easy to use, to the point. No dealing with keygroups, extensive truncating, velocity zones, or anything like that. One sample at a time. Fuzzy 12-bit sound. These were the good ol days!
