The Marine Commandant says control of Anbar province could be turned over to Iraqis in a matter of days. He says that would mean less need for U.S. troops in that area.

General Petraeus, the US commander in Iraq, is holding up the Iraqi western province of al-Anbar as an icon of the success of the United State's troop increase in the country.
He says it is now peaceful, thanks to their security plan.
But as Al Jazeera's James Bays has been finding out, residents in the area are telling a very different story.
